This sturdy carabiner is suitable for hanging chairs and hammocks and can withstand loads up to 450 kg.
A carabiner greatly facilitates the assembly of a hammock or hanging chair. It is hooked onto the end of the mounting rope or chain. With a simple clip, the suspension loop of the hammock or hanging chair can be hung or unhooked.
This carabiner is large and solid with a size of about 12 cm and a maximum inner diameter of about 3.5 cm. The galvanized fire carabiner has a maximum load capacity of 450 kg (WLL450). The carabiner protects the loops of the hammock against damage. Attaching ropes to the loops will slowly chafe the loops.
When buying carabiners, make sure that they are designed for the desired load capacity of the hammock and that the opening is large enough (some hammocks have extremely thick loops).
